The Voiamo Group has been established to provide a full-service and professional alternative to the cost and inconvenience associated with international communications and roaming.
Voiamo’s proprietary technology automatically connects to our local network partners, eradicating entirely the need to ‘roam’ and thereby providing us with the opportunity to pass the associated savings across to the end user. Using a small portable WiFi ‘hotspot’ that connects up to 5 enabled devices it removes the inconvenience associated with the alternative solutions currently available, so there is no need to resort to local SIM cards.
Importantly, our increasing network of operator partners are some of the most recognised mobile operators in the world, with carrier grade quality performance that already serves tens of millions of existing customers.
In 2013, Voiamo will increase its service across significant new territories and will add a fully supported voice package, without the need for a change of phone number.
The Voiamo Affiliate programme
Working with Voiamo, companies are now able to expand their customer proposition to include mobile communications, providing the same level of security, accessibility and ease of use for their customers as when at home or in the office.
For the company this comes with the option to act as a retail reseller direct to the consumer or to supply rental packages to their clients who wish to hire on a short term basis.
In either case, the programme also offers the company the opportunity of a share in the revenue from the sales of the device and service.
Mobile Operator and MVNO opportunity
Against a backdrop of criticism levelled at tier-1 operators comes the increased usage of data hungry applications associated with smartphones and data-only devices such as laptops and tablets. Such data-only devices are increasingly dependent on connection and storage across the internet and as such are likely to make growing use of mobile data communications. Additionally, tier-1 roaming tariffs are not subject to price competition in the way that domestic tariffs are and consequently remain inexplicably high by comparison.
This combined growth in data usage and the disparity between roaming prices and costs creates a substantial market opportunity, and one that Voiamo seeks to bring to the benefit of the tier-2 mobile operator whilst also allowing them to maintain service to the user and maximise revenue opportunities.
